The Proof is in the stats…

I have a strong belief in the effectiveness of blogging to drive traffic to a core website and to create a perception of expertise for Google searches.  Because of this belief, I utilize blogging for my clients who are trying to create a new reputation or repair an existing poor reputation online because of the fast results in Google searches.  I have finally with the launching of two new company blogs — www.taoconsultants.com and www.focusingtools.com — have strong proof of the effectiveness of blog activity.

First a disclaimer:  I spent 95% of my time working on my clients SEO needs — blogging, social media, article publication, etc. — and not enough time on my own web presence.  But that also lets me show you clearly how my activity, little as it is, impacts my web traffic.

The Eye of SEO Focus (www.focusingtools.com)
This blog was newly launched in late February 2009 with the first posting on February 6, 2009, followed by two other postings on February 19, 2009 and March 10, 2009.  Of course, I will post more frequently, but given this sparse posting on The Eye of SEO Focus, the results are very clear in these graphs:

February Postings for FocusingTools.com

February Postings for FocusingTools.com

March postings for FocusingTools.com

March postings for FocusingTools.com

If you go to FocusingTools.com, you will see that the postings are sparse, 2/6/09, 2/19/09 and 3/10/09.  But for each of those postings, there is a clear response in traffic.

Internet/Computer Consulting (www.TAOConsultants.com)
Now let’s look at the other new blog, www.TAOConsultants.com.  Again, sparse postings:  January 20, 2009, March 10, 2009 and March 20, 2009.

January 2009 blog postings for TAOConsultants.com

January 2009 blog postings for TAOConsultants.com

Blog Postings for TAOConsultants.com for March 2009

March 2009 blog postings for TAOConsultants.com

Again, sparse postings for TAOConsultants.com on 1/20/09, 3/10/09 and 3/20/09.  But the  results from these limited postings could not be more clear.

The message is obvious:  post and you will gain traffic.  I am actually glad I didn’t have more time for postings in the past few months because I now have clear data results from the limited postings I was able to make.  It also encourages me to post more frequently — like tonight.

This is one of the most important strategies we use at TAO Consultants.  We create multiple blogs and post frequently and our clients see strong results.  As long as they present a clear Call-to-Action on their landing pages, they see increased conversions from the traffic we create with blog blasts.  Try it.  You’ll be amazed.

  • Completely understand what your stance in this matter. Although I would disagree on some of the finer details, I think you did an awesome job explaining it. Sure beats having to research it on my own. Thanks

Thanks for sharing! it is good to encourage people to comment, not just reading. The only reason I writing blog rather than diary is because of the feedback.
